The Goodwill Centre Project

The Centre’s primary focus is to provide a safe place for children to experience something other than abject poverty in a society where a great disparity between rich and poor exists.

We aim to provide life changing skills, promote health and hygiene , Khmer and English lessons, creative play and team work amongst young children and teenagers to prepare them for the future in this rapidly expanding  tourist area

let’s be creative!

Children making a living

Cambodia is a country still struggling today to rebuild itself after years of war and the near complete eradication of the educated preceding generation.  Nearly half of all Cambodian children are malnourished and one in eight dies before their 5th birthday due to preventable causes

Nearly 34% of all Cambodians survive on less than a dollar a day. Poor Cambodian families have no choice but to send their children to work as beggars, maids, tin can collectors and far worse, for as little as 25 cents a day. Child labour is common.  More

Welcome!

Help the Cambodian Children is a Not-For-Profit Charitable Organisation, founded in February 2003, by a group of like-minded people who saw a dire need to help children in Cambodia.  We are very proud of what we have achieved and with your help we can do more!

The Charity's main office is based in Swanage, Dorset, UK and our Project, The Goodwill Centre, is located in the CT district of Sihanoukville, a coastal town on the southern west tip of Cambodia
